THAT Came Out of ME??
I took Johnny in to the doctor last week for his 4 month checkup. He’s huge. HUGE, I tell you! He weighs 18 pounds, 13.5 ounces (probably more now that we’re a week past the appointment). He was 26.25 inches long and had a head circumference of 44.5 centimeters. For height and head, he was in the 95th percentile. For weight, though, they couldn’t chart him. He was off the charts. He's so FAT! But he's so cute!

And, to top it off, giant boy outgrew his infant car seat. You’ve seen them - the little buckets into which you can stick your little one and leave him or her undisturbed as you go about your daily chores. Well, I don’t have that luxury anymore. Johnny was just a tad too long (even though he had until he was 22 pounds for weight). Actually, they say you can leave the kid in it until they are 29 inches, but you have to take them out once their little heads get within an inch of the top. My long-waisted baby boy comes within an inch of the top, now. Bummer.

Now he is in Gracie’s old seat, and he just loves it. He can see out the window, and he can see me in his mirror. He thinks he’s such a big boy. It’s really funny to watch him try to be like the other three, even though he’s so young. He’s even started rolling across the floor in an effort to keep up with them. He’s so funny and so active!

We even got to try out the grocery cart cover today, since he’s too big for the infant seat, but not big enough to sit on his own. He loved being up front like his siblings. He was looking at all the cool things and smiling and laughing.

I love having babies.
